Newley Diagnosed

I have been newly diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer, Gleason score 4+4. It is graded T2 is contained in prostate, covering the entire left side and thee quaters of right side. I have to lose 30kg before they will operate and a 60 to 90 day wait time, i have an appointment booked with radiation oncologist. Its very streesful knowing a tumor is active and i have to do my best in a short time to lose weight.

Hi Biggs77857,

You have come to the right place. Stressful is an understatement. I am 6 weeks PO and learning to deal with no Prostate is no fun, but I am 69, so I have had a good run. To lose weight, buy a good set of

digital scales(cheap ones go up and down) and try to

lose 300 gm. That is achievable Good Luck and keep us posted.
