Emsella chair

Emsella chair

Yes, an electric chair called an Emsella chair uses high-intensity electromagnetic waves to help the bladder after surgery by strengthening pelvic floor muscles. The chair is FDA-cleared for treating urinary incontinence, as it causes thousands of strong pelvic floor contractions while you sit fully clothed. This treatment is non-invasive and can improve bladder control, especially after procedures like prostate surgery that can weaken these muscles.

Hello Cortez43811,

Thank you for posting on the online community about the Emsella chair.

There have not been many clinical trials showing the benefits of the Emsella chair in the post prostatectomy incontinence space.

One clinical trial on a small sample showed some short-term benefits.

A larger study and long-term trials will be needed to substantiate the evidence and to show sustained benefit.

I hope this helps while you wait to hear from other members of the online community.

Naomi
