Post-biopsy concerns

Post-biopsy concerns

Hey guys, high PSA levels (over 7.0, I’m 56 years old) resulted in having a transperineal prostate biopsy recently. Just curious to know how anyone else went post-procedure? One week later and I still have blood in urine (not a massive amount) and have ejaculated a couple times and, honestly, it’s a f***ing horror show – more, in fact totally all, red and no white!!! Anyone else experienced this?

PS: results came back all clear.

I had my biopsy two weeks ago and Iโ€™m still getting blood in the beginning of my urine stream. Havenโ€™t checked my ejaculate – I didnโ€™t want to mention that to my girlfriend ๐Ÿ˜†

Initially i had very little blood for the first day or so, but about 2 days later there was heaps – like peeing red wine in the initial flow. I think i overdid myself in the garden two days after the biopsy??

Hi Eeyore1969,

Thanks for posting on the Online Community.

It is very common for men to have blood in the urine for up to two weeks after a prostate biopsy. Men can also experience blood in the semen for up to 6-8 ejaculates over a period of a few months. The blood often will be bright red in colour to start and become lighter with each ejaculation.

Follow the link below for more information about side effects after a prostate biopsy.

Hi

nil issues with blood for me with both

biopsy andhaving the Gold markers inserted you could consider having a MRI scan. but may be some cost.
