Swollen testicles after prostatectomy
Swollen testicles after prostatectomy
I had robot assisted prostatectomy last Thursday. I have massive swelling in my testicles. I understand swelling is expected but unsure just how large the swelling can be before I should raise an alarm bell.
No pain, but plenty of discomfort walking, sitting.
Sitting on the toilet is not even possible to sit properly.
And it seems to be getting bigger, not smaller.
Has anyone had similar experiences? I’m wearing supportive underwear (now), but did not initially.
Wasn’t initially concerned, as I was struggling with the catheter and only just got it repositioned yesterday

Yes same here, I had my prostatectomy on 7th October, and for a few days the catheter took some getting used to, and after two weeks I was counting the days to having the catheter removed, my testicles also swelled up, and my penis also felt a bit weird, but they gradually settled down. Now I’m wearing pads and doing the pelvis floor muscle exercises 3 times per day every day, not much bladder control improvement yet, but I’m optimistic.

Apologies. I should have clarified. It’s the scrotum that’s swollen. I’m in no pain with it. It’s not warm to the touch
