50-60 year olds undergoing ADT therapy looking for a beer and chat in Sydney area

I am 55, diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic cancer last April (24). Had a month of radiation and now undergoing ADT therapy. (Lucrin injections and Darolutimide (Nubeqa) tablets daily morning and evening).

I’d like to think reasonably fit, love watching sport and having a beer.

I have been suffering from many side effects and would like to connect with some guys who are undergoing same and would like to chat over a beer or two, and even bring your missus a I know its hard for them too so they can chat ?

Look forward to hearing from people.

Cheers

Jon

Hello Jon, can give you a bit of written support….diagnosed Dec 2018, stage 4 Met. Was booked in for removal in January 2019 but was suddenly cancelled and referred to Oncologist.

Took me through various options from which I chose ADT.

Have had Zolacos + Cosudex (qtly jab) or Lucrin (6 mth jab) + Bicalutamide as and when my qtly PSA reading requires (over 2) since march 2019.

Minor discomforts as expected i.e.

-hot flushes (wet pillows through the night)

-bathroom visits every 2-3 hours in the night

These side effects lessening very slightly as the injection wears off e.g.

my last jab was July 2024 (Lucrin 6mth) and my PSA last week was .41 (April .03).

So is slowly creeping up, probably need another jab end of year.

Very happy with my decision to go ADT..am one of the lucky ones.

Cheers, John
