Just want to know what’s the thoughts and experience in surgery and hormone treatment

I’ve only just seen your post Michaud2204 so you might well have made your decision by now. My urologist said that the decision was up to me basically, whether I had surgery or not, because the disease was not advanced, and hadn’t spread beyond the prostate. I knew if I didn’t have the surgery and the cancer spread later I would be very unhappy with myself! I didn’t need hormone therapy or radiotherapy, so can’t comment on them.

G’day mate ,look if the cancer is still contained in the prostate I would seriously consider getting the gland removed because if you don’t it will make its way out and I to the blood stream , I know there are a heck of a lot of things that change once the prostate has been removed but honestly what’s the alternative, when I was diagnosed it had made its way out of the gland and set up five Tumor sites , I am no expert but that’s what I would be thinking .

I believe you should contact a prostate nurse and have a good discussion with them , they are the experts , I wish you all the very best and hope my words have brought comfort and not dismay , cheers cobba.
