Community Forum Guidelines
Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia’s Online Community Forums is a space for those who have been impacted by prostate cancer, either directly or through someone they know, to share their experiences, find information and support.
When you join the Online Community Forums, you agree to treat others with respect, show support, be kind and empathetic.
We will not tolerate bullying, harassment, racism, homophobia or other forms of hate speech or discrimination. If you breach these guidelines, we may edit or remove your posts, or revoke your access entirely.
If you feel that someone is breaching this guidelines, please report the post using the three circle icon next to it. For more information about these guidelines or to provide feedback, please email [email protected] and our team will assist.
Be respectful and support each other
In any post, comment or reply, be respectful of others and understand that people have the right to disagree with you or have a different view. Treat all members with kindness and empathy and be mindful that everyone’s journey is unique.
Protect privacy and confidentiality
Remember that information in your profile can be seen by anyone who registers an account. Conversations are public; don’t share personal information about yourself like your contact information or social media handles. In addition, respect others’ privacy too. If you know personal information about someone else, do not post this.
Share personal experiences – not medical advice
All members are encouraged to share their personal experiences, questions and concerns, but should not provide direct medical advice to others. For example, if a member is asking for treatment advice, share what worked for you, then encourage them to speak with their healthcare team about what is right for them.
No soliciting and promotions
This forum is here for people to support one another and share their experiences – not for advertising products, miracle cures, or other services.
