Protein Supplements

Protein Supplements

Hi, received my first chemo treatment last Thursday 30th July with the chemo drug DOXETAXEL for Prostate cancer.

Can anyone suggest a good protein supplement for PC with Docetaxel.

Thanks Roberts09309

I have been supplementing my diet with a daily, 190ml dose of Sustagen Optimum for the past few years and a regimen of resistance exercises to maintain muscle mass and bone strength following PC treatments that have lowered my free testosterone levels to a semi-permanent state of functional hypogonadism.

There are others, like Hospital grade Ensure, etc., but they are higher in lactose and more difficult to digest. The rest is all about choosing a healthy, protein-rich diet and active lifestyle!
